Time Consultancy:

Consultant for the Suspended Access & Fall Arrest Industry. Developed a unique service for property owners for the safe auditing, management and risk analysis of specialised access and associated equipment.

Established a need to support building management for the implementation of Statutory obligations prior to the Corporation of London carrying out ‘spot checks’ on various buildings within their remit for compliance.

Knowledge drawn from 20 years of working solely within this specialised industry as detailed further.

Have written various articles in trade publications to promote awareness of good maintenance and the liabilities equipment owners have.

Have given support to trade publications on promoting training within the cleaning and access industry and selection of the appropriate contractor.

Prosol Façade Access:

Director of operations and key accounts for a lead company providing service, installation and testing of suspended access and fall arrest systems.

Headed the operations and key accounts for a combined window cleaning service and façade restoration projects.

Responsible for the training and employment of six engineers and seven full time cleaning staff. London office staff comprising of 4 personnel with a further office in Boston, Lincolnshire.

Implemented ISO 9002 within the company, the first in within the suspended access industry.

Implemented automated breakdown handling software.
Implemented site specific Risk Assessments in 1995.

Responsible for the sole UK distribution of a German product, which involved negotiating in both UK and Germany.

Responsible for the sole UK distribution of a Spanish product, marketing their presence within the UK, which involved negotiating in both UK and Spain.

The business was sold to NIM Suspended Access in 1998.

Kobi Cradles:

Responsible for developing their maintenance portfolio and implanting new and alternative business.

Left in 1994 to form Prosol.

PMA Systems:

The business of Storac was purchased by KS Group who owned PMA & KS Lifts and at 22 moved from Bristol to London.

Supervisor for the Southern region including Wales with 10 engineers.

Responsible for the key accounts, project management of refurbishment projects and normal servicing.

Storac:

Also known as Storage & Access Systems & Gascoigne Engineering, Bristol.

Completed a five-year engineering training programme with day release college to achieve HNC status.

Settled into the maintenance division where I had a broad and interesting employment. Site training with the engineers for installation and servicing of hydraulic goods lifts, scissor lifts, dock levellers, mechanical handling and suspended access equipment.

The maintenance division was purchased by KS Group in 1989.
